Opto Hex Raketen

A high-speed distance driver with a hexagon pattern that cuts through the air

The Raketen is Latitude 64's follow-up to the Missilen and uses the same Opto Hex technology, where a hexagon pattern is pressed into the plastic to reduce drag. This lets the disc hold its speed in the air longer than a comparable disc without the pattern. The Raketen is less overstable than the Missilen and sits closer to the Bolt in stability, making it a bit easier to throw for players who are still building up full arm speed.

With a speed rating among the highest in disc golf, the Raketen needs real power to unlock its full potential, but it rewards you with long distance and a flight that stays in the air longer than normal. On a flat backhand throw, it will turn slightly before closing with a solid fade at the end. The hexagon pattern also means the disc lands with more forward momentum, so it keeps rolling after it touches down. Reach for it when you want to squeeze the most distance out of a full-power throw.

Opto Hex is a variant of Latitude 64's Opto plastic, where the hexagon pattern is pressed into the flight plate and extends down under the rim. The texture gives a different grip than standard Opto, and the design includes two smooth thumb pads on top, so both right- and left-handed throwers have a spot to press into. The plastic is durable and holds up to repeated full-power throws.
