A Boss is a stable distance driver, which is used for the very longest drives, where it can be relied on even in a slight headwind. Blizzard champion is Innova's very light plastic. Discs made of this type of plastic are therefore extremely susceptible to wind, which can be used for really long downwind throws. In addition, it is also a good option for newer players, or players who do not have as much arm speed as the top players, as the light discs make it easier to release them with higher speed than the heavier versions.
This lightweight version of a Boss was used to set the long throw world record by David Wiggins back in 2016 - beating the previous record also set with this disc. He threw it a full 338m, albeit in a fairly strong tailwind.
